Photos from Harvest of Hope Fest & New Orleans Have been added to the galleries

@#$%^&! It’s been almost a year since my last update. I haven’t been up to too much, but considering it’s been nearly a year, it’s a lot.

In March, I was given the opportunity to go an convention/conference in New Orleans, La. Typically when I travel for business, I enjoy the city more so than the convention – not with New Orleans! New Orleans is a real grimy city. I know it was hit by Hurricane Katrina five years ago, but I’m sure it was a dirty place beforehand. The weather wasn’t great when I was there so I didn’t take many photos……at all. Please visit the New Orleans Gallery to view the photos.

Also in March was the second annual Harvest of Hope Fest for the Harvest of Hope Foundation. Like the first annual HOH Fest in 2009, I had the time of my life! I worked close to 50 hours in three days, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I met a lot of great people and musicians and saw countless amazing performances- We had 180+ bands on five stages! Having an attendance of only 14,000 festival goers, in August we were sad to announce there wouldn't be a 2011 Harvest of Hope Fest. Planning and working an event of that size is unreal and takes about 11 months to plan. From working with the Harvest of Hope Foundation for the last two fests, I’m starting to feel lonely because it’s December. I’m not up until 2 a.m. working on Harvest of Hope Fest projects. To view the amazing memories I captured at the second annual Harvest of Hope Fest, please visit the Live Music Gallery.

I don’t recall when it was, but somewhere between the Harvest of Hope Fest and having job interviews, I visited the Morikami and took some photos. They can be found in the new South Florida Gallery.
